- The filter element is designed to remove or dramatically reduce toxic chemicals, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, trihalomethanes, detergents, pesticides, herbicides, chlorides, pharmaceuticals, petroleum-based products, unpleasant tastes and odor, silt, sediment and chlorine.

I have purchased 2 bottles from this company, and one is great but the other has a faulty lid. The straw does not let water through, and has since split from getting stuck. When I emailed asking fro a replacement, they told me to disassemble the lid, and reassemble, which I did but it did not work. Because my other bottle is absolutely fine, this one is clearly faulty. I have sent multiple emails since, asking for a replacement lid to be sent, and have had no response. Terrible customer service
